2 ^[a] Now Solomon purposed to build a temple for the name of the Lord, and a royal palace for himself. ²^[b]And Solomon assigned seventy thousand men to bear burdens and eighty thousand to quarry in the hill country, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.
